We have made a corporate commitment to continually reduce the impact of our activities on the environment.
One recent example of this was the development of the world’s first laptop to fully comply with the European Union’s Restriction of Hazardous Substances ruling. It was launched almost a year before the regulations required.
More importantly, Toshiba’s TELA laptops are fully RoHS compliant.
The United Nations Global Compact
Toshiba has made a public commitment to participating in the United Nations Global Compact. This is an international initiative that established ten universal principles governing human rights, labour and the environment. The intention is to apply these across all our activities in all parts of the world.
Toshiba’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility.
Toshiba Corporation is committed to good corporate citizenship.
Our president and CEO, Mr Atsutoshi Nishida has detailed an extensive program of policies, procedures, activities and audits to ensure we achieve our Corporate Social Responsibility objectives.
